The 1st Hill from the Malvern Wyche Cutting looking towards the Beacon Direction(north). Amazing light with all the darks shining dark blue. Enjoyed this one alot.

Your sketches are so sensitive, just great! I also paint 'en plein air' I mostly haunt the outskirts of Cheltenham and am always painting those Malverns from afar. I haven't visited the Malverns since I was very young so when i see your paintings, it is like a glimpse of a place that all I really know of is a crisp humpbacked outline. Therefore sometimes you are on the other side of the landscape, painting towards me as it were.
